BAM 4.60 Pre-Mango is ready to be published

Hello,

As you know  maybe, as soon as a Developer  submits an app for Mango he cannot publish anymore an update of his Pre-Mango version !
Knowing that the delay before to have really the Mango RTM deployed on all devices can be longer than expected, I decided to include in a new Pre-Mango updated version all the new BAM features of the Mango V5 version (see my prev post about the v5 https://bamwp7.wordpress.com/2011/08/19/bam-for-mango-is-ready/) except of course the features specific to Mango itsel (Tiles).

I will so publish this week this Pre-Mango update under the version 4.60 and once it will be published in the MP, I will submit imediately the Mango version  (v 5.00).

Thsi is the list of all the new features of this v4.60

– Fixed some remaining errors reported by BAM users during lists manipulations.

– A new list appears in the main view  : it will list all the upcoming transactions independently  of their accounts and based on max date range configurable in the list settings (either a date of a delay in days); this list provides of course  the group by and filtering options like all the other BAM lists.

– The new upcoming transactions list can also pe pinned in the dashboard so you can have a quick access to your upcoming transactions (suggested by a BAM user) !

– A new global option allows now to choose the start list at BAM startup among the Accounts,  Pending transactions, or the Dashboard ones (suggested by a BAM user).

– You can now choose the date order mode for all transactions lists, selecting to display groups and their transactions either by an ascending date order, or a descending one.

– You have an option now to use the transactions creation date instead of their processing date to calculate the budgets reached amounts. (useful for deferred transactions)

– You have now the possibility to specify a default targeted post for a payee/payer (suggested by BAM user)

– You have the possibility to specify a processing end date for a periodic operation meaning that the periodic operation will not be processed or included in the upcoming transactions after that date.

Thanks

BAM for Mango is ready !

Hello,

First, I hope really that you enjoy the v 4.5 recently published ?
The feedbacks I received until now about that version are very positive and even if a user  reported me an issue when displaying more than 10 items in a report transactions views, this version seems very stable (I fixed it anwyay).

Maybe you already know but developers can submit for Mango starting 22 of that month ! 🙂

I ‘m so pleased to inform you that the first version of BAM for Mango (v 5.00) is ready  with the new features below  !  two of these features are specific to Mango and I don’t have doubts that you will like them  😉
As mentioned, this is the first BAM version for Mango so obviously I will continue to update BAM  to include more specific Mango features like a dynamic Application Tile, but my idea is to publish asap a first Mango version.

New features of v 5.00 :

– Mango specific: the reactivation of BAM  will be immediate after you deactivated the app  ! (thank to the multi-tasking of Mango)

– Mango specific: BAM will provide a global option to create a secondary Tile to access directly to the “new transaction” page; so from the main screen of your windows phone, you will be able to enter very quickly a new transaction !

I take some vacation day next week so I will publish this Mango version end of next week.

I would like to thank again for all BAM users who gave me their feedbacks and collaborated with me on BAM updates; you submited me great suggestions and as usual I try to implement them asap when they are pertinent !

Thanks

BAM German version postponed in a next version

Hello,

I was just notifed that MS failed to certify the v 4.5 because of lack of German translation in some parts for the German version.
To avoid again a delay in the publication of the v4.5 I decided so to retire German localization for the moment in this build, and I will improve it to include it in a next version.

Sorry for German people but I have to admit also that my translation would need improvements anwyay.

I will keep you informed when it will be available.

Thanks

BAM for Mango

Hello,

As I mentioned, the V 4.5 that I just published in the MP (see my previous post) will be the  the last update for  pre-Mango phones.

I started indeed  to work on the Mango version of BAM and as soon as we can publish for Mango I will publish the first Mango version of BAM which will have for sure these two first Mango features :

– When you will reactive BAM, it will be immediate (thanks to the multitasking of Mango !)

– You will have, as an option, the possibility to have a Tile which will redirect you directly to the operation page to creater quickly a new pending operation. I already implemented that fonction that and it works like a charm.

so stay tuned !

Thanks

JP

V4.5 is published

Hello,

FYI  published yetersday the V 4.5 in the MP and the app is is the certifying stage.

I look forward to have your feedbacks regarding that version because, hearing you, I put a huge effort to improve the reactivity of BAM  interface and mainly the groups opening (it is now immediate) and the lists scrolling; even if the scrolling in a pre-Mango device will stay bad,  it should be better than in my past versions.

Thanks again for the numerous mails I had received from you regarding suggestions or bugs,  it allows me to update constantly BAM and adapt it better to your expectations !

BAM 4.5 is ready..and faster !

Hello,

Just this post to announce that v 4.5 is ready 🙂

This update is the latest before the upcoming Mango version.

I worked really a lot in this update to improve the reactivity of BAM and fix some latency issues that some of you reported to me.

These are below the new features  of this version :

– Improved drastically groups opening speed
– The  lists groups which are grouped by a  date are now ordered in descending mode.
– Operations are ordered in their group by  their creation date  and in descending mode
– New Dashboard page to pin  any type of favorite elements (except operations) !
– Operations page redesigned to avoid scrolling
– Possibility to set a reminder for a deferred or periodic operation
– Improved the Classic WP7 theme (operation’s  title larger, the groups use now a more classic WP7 display)
– Option to include deferred operations in the upcoming list
– Shortcuts in the menu to display directly the account page, dashboard page, or the pending operations
– Context menu appear quicker
– Possibility to cancel a reconciled operation to put it back as pending
– Balance date choice is also accessible  in the settings of the accounts page
– Etc..

I will publish this version this week-end so it should be in the MP begining of next week

as usual feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions or issues to report to me

Thanks !

JP
